If this is for your own relationship: call her when you would like to talk to her. If she indicates you call too often or not often enough, try to find a frequency that works for both of you. If she calls you too often or not often enough for your liking, ask her to call less/more. If you cannot communicate about this issue, or if it's impossible to resolve this to the satisfaction of both of you, break up with her. In a relationship, this issue should not be a difficult thing. There's probably some amount of cultural expectations, but she probably has her own working hours, phone contract, preferred method of communication, etc, that will in many cases overrule the cultural expectations. I have to tell my wife sometimes that I miss her and also sometimes that she should wear a little more, while she tells me she misses me all the time.
