Translation of this from the bottom of an old vase

Could someone PLEASE help me figure who and maybe when, this old vase was made?

Your vase is Japanese Satsuma and the maker is Kinkozan, likely Meiji period (1868-1912). Could you post a picture of the vase itself? Then I could say more.

Thank you, no, the picture is fine! This is a typical export vase from Awata/Kyoto, where the Kinkozan factory was located. It would be from the early 20th century, I think, maybe up to the 1920s? Kinkozan was a famous producer with a wide range of products. This is not a top-end pice, but nice anyway!

Sorry, I am not good at prices and I do not think this is the place for appraisals. You can look at closed ebay-auctions of similar pieces to get an idea. Post your other vase and I will see if I can help with that, too.

Your second vase says 大清乾隆年製 da4 qing1 qian2 long2 nian2 zhi4 -- made during the years of Qianlong Emperor of the Qing dynasty (1711-1799).

Correction: His reign was from 1735 to 1796. I'm terribly sorry. Should have been more careful copy&pasting...

Yes, the mark says so, but that does NOT mean that the vase was made then. This mark is very often found on vases of the 20th century, and your vase is such a case. It is not a "fake" as it does not try to look like an 18th century piece, it is just a decorative piece of the 2nd half of the 20th century.
