dumpling_libre Posted August 7, 2006 at 08:13 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2006 at 08:13 PM Hi, Does anyone know how many CCB ATMs there are in Beijing? Are there a lot that it's worth it to open a Bank of America account just so I can access the CCM ATMs or are there just a few that it would be a hassle to get to them (living near BeiDa) thanks! dumpling libre

jinjin Posted September 7, 2006 at 10:23 AM Report Share Posted September 7, 2006 at 10:23 AM just fyi in case anyone didn't know, but the Chinese ATMs only accept up to 6 numbers for your PIN, unlike in the US. The Bank of America chick told me to enter in at 7-8 numbers and only after I got to China did I find out that my PIN wouldn't work. (BofA doesn't allow you to change your PIN in the automated services unlike WellsFargo, so I had to have them snail mail a new PIN to my boyfriend in the States and then have him call me with the PIN--pain in my ass). gato Posted September 7, 2006 at 11:11 AM Report Share Posted September 7, 2006 at 11:11 AM I just confirmed that fact on BofA's website. Very good to know.
