So for my lates post, i discuss mullets.

I write with plenty mistakes, but I don't care if my friends cant understand me at all then I go and correct, otherwise I just keep writing.

Personaly I think MSN spaces is the best for chinese blogging, It has a huge chinese population and crossing over between diffrent is no problem; what i mean is that all countries use the same MSN space, for ex Cyworld has a diffrent server for each country, so you cannot for example have friends who use the Japanese Cyworld contact your chinese one.

I have also just started blogging on MSN. I start off by using Chinese just to practice a little, but then switch back to english.. kinda easing my way into it. Props to those going Chinese the whole way!

I am not a big fan of MSN or Hotmail or Microsoft in general, but nearly EVERY single one of my Chinese friends uses MSN Spaces. Add one more to the bandwagon;-)

For others that are apprehensive about writing lots in Chinese just try surfing MSN Spaces and find some random Chinese blog to read. I was pleasantly suprised to find I could understand a great deal (about 80%) without having to use a dictionary. It's great when the past 2 years of hard work and toil pay off like that.:D

But when I started learning, there were some sites, run out of China, that weren't entirely compatible with outside veiwing. Meaning: Because they serve only Chinese computers sometimes see word-scramble. I know MSN works, and probably so do they other big 'uns. Just keep that in mind when looking around. Maybe try viewing it in different views: Western, Chinese, see how it holds up. Again, I think this problem is really rare.*

Now, interestingly enough, the topic of mullets came up the other day, and it might be interesting to touch upon the history of confusion in Chinese hair, that really sprouted from the braids the Chinese were forced to wear under the Manchurian Qing.

*However, myspace the punks don't let you use Chinese.

I recommend blogger, cause they have a ton of language options (as long as you have the imput software.

I recently started a bi-lingual blog (with english and chinese), but I need to make sure I write often enough.

** It's actually quad-ra-lingual, with japanese and korean too, but that content won't be written by me...

Blogger is great, but I believe it's blocked in China. I tried making a Chinese blog with them, but none of my Chinese friends could load the page.

Your friends can visit your blog using a proxy. And if you want to make your friends more easily load your page, here you can find how.:D

I also use MSN, I like the idea of being on a sort of global platform that supports all languages and character sets and with people visiting from all kinds of places. I don't use my space for anything other than old-fashioned writing, so I've no idea if there are better providers in terms of multimedia capabilities /pictures/music etc (I suspect there are). Anyway I registered with blogsome three days before it was blocked in China, and the thing that most worries me is to end up cut off from my own blog without notice - that is a very real risk.

are there any other people that have blogs on that site? I need friends... but my Chinese is very very basic and my blog entries will probably reflect that. but they will get better

Some people in China (e.g. Hong Kong) can still visit your blog :D . I have also created my blog (in Chinese) there. You could take a look if you like -> http://voidsky.blogspot.com
