Perhaps there's some way to make it work, but I can't see how - and even if you did it's likely you'd need a different method for every variety of mobile device. What might be feasible though is to do a line by line or paragraph by paragraph version, so you had something like News Line 1 Pinyin Line 1 Eng Line 1 News Line 2 Pinyin Line 2 Eng Line 2 but that's going to take up a lot of space and be a bit ugly to read.
