I'm interested in taking it for practice and seeing what it's like, but having a difficult time finding out schedules and test locations on the HSK website. Additionally, the HSK website seems only to mention the HSK Basic - I don't think that these two tests are the same (threshold is the newer of the two, as far as I can tell). For instance in Beijing, the HSK was today (10 Dec), I understand the next one will be in March, then June/July time. If you are studying through a uni, I think they can usually assist with applications. I've been told, in Korea they have sittings every month.
