I looked at their travel books about 10 years ago, and decided to go with the Lonely Planet (yet again) because i liked thekind of information they provide for orientation. While travel in China and living in China have similar concerns, there are some things that Lonely Planet doesn't cover very well, or at all, as far as general daily logistics.
