PLAY/PRODUCTION: Guys and Dolls, the perfect Broadway musical. 25 singers, actors, and dancers wanted. Guys and Dolls is the Tony award winning, Grammy award wining, Golden Globe award winning Broadway musical. A rollicking, fun, happy Broadway musical for the whole family, where the guys and dolls of New York sing, dance, and gamble their way to love and redemption. Performed in English with Mandarin subtitles. THEATRE/STUDIO: Beijing Playhouse AUDITION DATES: Sunday, June 10th at 1 pm and Monday, June 11th at 6:30 pm, 2007. (Call-backs, if necessary, Tuesday, June 12th at 6:30 pm.) LOCATION: Beijing Playhouse. Beijing Playhouse's performances of Guys and Dolls are conveniently located in the Chaoyang District in the modern new CIS theatre, not far from Shunyi, and just down the street from the Kempinksi Hotel. (Map available on request.) ROLE(S): All roles open. Professional acting experience is not necessary. We love discovering new talent. Nationality is not important. Ability to perform in English is required. Wanted: 8 male singers, age 15-80. 6 female singers, age 15-80. 6 male actors, age 15-80. 4 female actors, age 15-80. 8 dancers, age 15-80. AUDITION FORMAT: Actors and singers should prepare a song and will do a live read from the script. Prepared monologue is optional but not necessary. Actors and dancers welcome; not all roles require singing. PAY: Cast and crew may be paid a small stipend based on show attendance. PERFORMANCE DATES: Performances are Wednesday and Saturday nights and Sunday matinees, September 7th to October 6th, 2007. Rehearsals are Sunday and Thursday nights at 6:30 pm June 17th and September 5th, 2007.
