It would be hard to explain phrases or words without contexts. Hmm, here I give you some given contexts to explain them. 听不出来 他在说什么，我听不出来。I don’t know what he is saying. “听不出来” here means you can’t understand other’s words by hearing. “听得出来” is its adversative meaning. 我听得出来，他很不高兴。 I can understand (by his words) that he is very unhappy. 都少来一点 沙拉酱和奶油都少来一点。Give me / us less salad sauce and cream. “都少来一点” here means give sb. sth. less. “都多来一点” is its adversative meaning. 汽水、薯条和炸鸡都多来一点。Give me / us more soda, French chips and fried chicken. Of course, if you can give your contexts in your text book, it will help others to explain them clearer and more accurate to you. Thanks! Along the same lines, you can also substitute 听 for 看 and get a similar meaning. For example: A: "她爸爸是个外国人." B: "真的吗? 我看不出来." would have the following meaning: A: "Her father is a foreigner." B: "Really? I couldn't tell by looking at her." Or, subtitute 听 with 说 and get "I can't say this" with a hint of "I don't have the ability to say this", "the cat's got my tongue", or "I've drawn a blank". I'm therefore trying to see if I can avoid that. Or even more simply, 少放盐.
