You only need one for sites hosted in China. If your server is actually in China, your webhosting company should be able to get the ICP on your behalf. Hosting in HK is often a good option - better reliability and less hassle than China.

I think if your website is based on a server which locates on India, there is no need for you to get a ICP. Only when you want to move you website to a Chinese server, you need a ICP. And if you website have no illegal content( I mean illegal for Chinese law), everyone can visit it from China.

Hi, but i have heard that here in china many web-sites are banned without any :roll:reason like Wiki-pedia....... and many that does not open... With an indian server and a :)B2B web-site .. can i run my website for ever in china??

Or should i have to move for the Chinese hosting:cry:!! to be safer... ??

I only want that.. my site should be visited by chinese and others without any problem....

And about the Indian server - they give me many options and space for a cheap price:wink:... So i am sticking with it:mrgreen:

that's true that many site was baned without any reason, especially the side is host on a Virtual machine. Because maybe there are some other side on this same server have some illegal content, maybe, I don't know.

The safest way is move you site to a Chinese server, and apply a ICP license. But I think if you website can be visit now, there is no reason for you to move it to China immediately.
