889 Posted September 17, 2007 at 06:08 AM Report Share Posted September 17, 2007 at 06:08 AM It won't be any cheaper in Hong Kong than Chicago, and you probably stand a better chance of getting a one-year multiple-entry visa in Chicago under the supposedly-reciprocal agreement between the US and China. Hong Kong, though, is a convenient place to get visas for those who need to get their visas quickly and don't live near a Chinese consulate. I honestly haven't quite figured why that is but whatever works for them, I guess. Wherever you are, the cost of the visa should be the same because it is determined by your nationality, unless you're talking about visa procurement services.
