My European bank calls me every month or so (in the middle of the night, of course!) to ask me why there are transactions done in China ... even though they are sending me all statements by registered mail to China and are well aware that I live here. Ah well, I guess it's just each time another customer service representative from the bank who just follows a checklist with processes to be followed ... When I have traveled to China I brought a certain amount of money in traveler's checks.
