roddy Posted May 2, 2004 at 02:09 AM Report Share Posted May 2, 2004 at 02:09 AM When I was out last night someone stopped me and asked me directions ( he looked pretty suprised when he then realised I was foreign and even more so when I said 一直到北太平庄,然后左拐) . Anyway, when he started asking his question I think he said something like 我问一个去 - I could be wrong as I was concentrating on where he actually wanted to go - but that's what it sounded like. I've never heard that phrase before, does it sound possible? Sounds strange to me, but Chinese often does. 'I ask a go' for 'can you tell me how to get to . . .?' Is this possible, or did I mishear? back Posted May 2, 2004 at 02:26 AM Report Share Posted May 2, 2004 at 02:26 AM
back Posted May 2, 2004 at 02:28 AM Report Share Posted May 2, 2004 at 02:28 AM
Quest Posted May 2, 2004 at 07:02 AM Report Share Posted May 2, 2004 at 07:02 AM well, since I grew up in Guangzhou, I've never heard of it being used. I guess it's like the Cantonese --

back Posted May 2, 2004 at 02:02 PM Report Share Posted May 2, 2004 at 02:02 PM 。。
