82riceballs Posted December 11, 2007 at 08:53 PM Report Share Posted December 11, 2007 at 08:53 PM Does anyone know where that phrase comes from? I've encountered it twice- once on a Chinese SAT study booklet, and again in an economics textbook, both times in Traditional Chinese. I know that it means "Peace, Improvement, Welcoming the New World" (something along the lines of that), but I'm not sure as to where it actually came from. Thanks
muyongshi Posted December 13, 2007 at 03:51 PM Report Share Posted December 13, 2007 at 03:51 PM If I remember correctly this is one of the motto's for the Olympics..... but maybe it was taken from somewhere else. Kind of sounds like something from the UN.
