Good suggestion for 外面的世界很无奈。And I think you've got the meaning out less awkwardly than me. The dictionary has the expression 无可无奈 meaning 'to have no alternative'. I suppose you could say 'the world outside offers no choices'. But it doesn't really fit the mood of the song, I think. I haven't listened to much Chinese music, but (after listening to that song) I'm starting to realize that I can actually understand a lot of the lyrics. Is there a good place that I can download songs from or is there a good site to buy chinese cds from? Go to http://www.google.com.hk/ search "Chinese websites only", then try " 外面的世界 mp3" (without quotation marks).
