Started around the Chinese New Year and am about half way through now. The story is a satire/romantic comedy of sorts about the lives of a group of young people just returning from their studies overseas during the 1930s. I thought the story started a little slow but it picked up, and I'm really enjoying it. But he hasn't read it yet, so let's get him to read it, too, for his wife's sake. Hah. We can stretch out over two months, if people can't finish it in a month, as I haven't been able to. There's also a well-done TV series based on 《围城》made in the late 90's.
