of 鸽 and promises

Recommended Posts

I was watching a TV show and when they were talking about keeping promises, 鸽 appeared in the subtitles. I know it means pigeon so the reference to keeping promises using 鸽 is perhaps a colloquail thing? Hope someone can explain. Thanks
