wix Posted August 17, 2003 at 09:10 AM Report Share Posted August 17, 2003 at 09:10 AM This article (link below) comes from the Taiwan News. It discusses how bicycles are being marginalised in Shanghai (and I am sure it is not just happening in Shanghai). It is sad and unfortunate really. It is obvious China's city planners are enamoured with motor cars. It is a pity they don't take a trip to to Amsterdam or Copenhagen to see that bicycles can be a major form of transport in a modern city. Today's China, in a Rush, Has No Time for Bikes

Ian_Lee Posted March 29, 2004 at 08:33 PM Report Share Posted March 29, 2004 at 08:33 PM But ironically all the new bicycles that you can find displayed in the bike shop nowadays, ranging from top of the line model to the cheapest kind, are all either made in China or Taiwan.
