Cantonesefish Posted July 16, 2008 at 07:42 PM Report Share Posted July 16, 2008 at 07:42 PM (edited) Hi~! I saw this on a forum somewhere that I don't remember, I can recommend some but not all of the characters. I'd be interested to see what this says: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3250/2674404997_1193cc26d8_o.jpg Edited July 16, 2008 at 09:02 PM by roddy
muyongshi Posted July 16, 2008 at 11:47 PM Report Share Posted July 16, 2008 at 11:47 PM "Good thread so bump it!" 好贴就要顶 It doesn't translate well because it is not something we would say in English but 好贴 refers to a "good thread" in a forum and 顶 is what you do to a thread that you think is good and deserves to be near the top so more people will see it. Here at the forums like the introduce yourself topic is also 置顶 (placed at the top of that forum topic so as soon as you open it it's there). studentyoung Posted July 17, 2008 at 01:38 AM Report Share Posted July 17, 2008 at 01:38 AM "Good thread so bump it!"好贴就要顶 The translation above is good enough, but I still would like to exchange “thread 主题 (=topic)” for “post 贴子”. Cheers!

yersi Posted July 17, 2008 at 12:12 PM Report Share Posted July 17, 2008 at 12:12 PM Wouldn't it be more like "a good post should be bumped!"? Also I love the picture, is that Ma Ying-Jeou?
Cantonesefish Posted July 23, 2008 at 01:04 AM Author Report Share Posted July 23, 2008 at 01:04 AM Thanks for the translations! I don't who is in the picture, but his expression definitely makes it!
