zingermeal Posted March 3, 2009 at 07:24 AM Report Share Posted March 3, 2009 at 07:24 AM I'm new to the forum and considering going to Beijing to study Mandarin. However, one issue is still not clear. When applying for the student visa, do I only need my acceptance letter, or do I also need to provide proof of accommodation? Also, is the latter required when arriving at the airport in Beijing?
roddy Posted March 3, 2009 at 08:02 AM Report Share Posted March 3, 2009 at 08:02 AM There's no need for proof of accommodation - I think the visa form may ask for an address in China, but just use the university's, or some random hotel, it won't be logged or checked. Coming in to China they'll just want to see the visa in your passport - you'll need an address for an arrivals card, but again, scribble anything down.
