I'm a ping shu fan(the dude I always hear in the taxi) and am trying to study using his audio. I've bought loads of his stuff but have no transcripts. I asked at the bookshop and they said they had none. If I 'm not making myself clear on pingshu then I attach the links for 3 chivalrous swords and the story in Chinese but I still can't get any transcripts .I'm after word for word transcripts(translation) of the audio .I noticed that some of the sscript on the below link is included in pingshu's speech(anyone know this old guy's name?- I just call him pingshu!) but only a bit.

Anyone know where I can find transcripts!

His name is 单田芳 / shan4 tian2 fang1.

A few years ago I bought a book called 评书三国演义, in three volumes. It's a fairly accurate word-for-word transcript of a famous pingshu by 连阔如, the original recording having been lost I think, but you can still buy or download mp3 of a modern performance by his daughter 连丽如. It's 300 chapters IIRC each lasting about half an hour, so you shouldn't run out of listening material for some time. Recommended.

Oh, by the way, pingshu is the name for this kind of oral storytelling, not an old guy LOL.

Ok not pingshu :oops:but I think 单田芳 is the guy I'm looking for. I just like the sound of his voice(as much as that sounds strange). I may look at the others but I'm still trying to get 单田芳 audio plus transcripts! Thanks young but I got lost on that site and am not sure I'd get what I'm after.
