I really want to visit Tibet (Lhasa/Mt Everest) and Nepal at some point when I'm there. I was wondering if anyone knew the cheapest way to get to either or both places. I figured I should visit them in the same trip since they are so close together. I looked up flights directly from Kunming to Tibet, and they were a little expensive. I'm hoping to either find a combination of cheap bus/train rides, or possibly some bus or train rides accompanied by short, inexpensive flights. Any information on the best and cheapest way to get from Kunming- Lhasa, or from Kunming-Kathmandu, would be much appreciated.
