To prevent the signatures from appearing multiple times on the page Which can get tedious if there are lots of short posts being made by the same people or if people have longer signatures. It's by design to keep things tidy rather than a weird quirk.

It's still a weird quirk. If signatures should only appear once a page, then why do our avatars appear every time we post? If signatures only appear once per page then avatars should only appear once per page, not multiple times per page. I don't see many long signatures here either because of the imploring plea in the Edit Signature section that requests to limit to two lines.

Yes, it's MSN Space Live. It's not blocked.

Ok, so when they block Blogger do they end up blocking just some blogs or all the blogs? I'm not sure why MSN would not be blocked if it has blogs too.
