DuxTexanii Posted October 28, 2009 at 01:20 PM Report Share Posted October 28, 2009 at 01:20 PM Hello, I have to go to Hong Kong to take the LSAT (the testing site in Beijing is full). I was thinking this was going to be a major hassle, but I have been told that my residence permit will let me leave and re-enter the country. Is this correct or incorrect (at least insofar as it applies to Hong Kong).
Senzhi Posted October 28, 2009 at 04:57 PM Report Share Posted October 28, 2009 at 04:57 PM With a valid residence permit you can leave and re-enter China as your heart pleases. And if you don't need a visa for Hong Kong, there should be no problems at all.
gerri Posted October 29, 2009 at 02:35 AM Report Share Posted October 29, 2009 at 02:35 AM The only thing to note is that HK is considered international travel, meaning that the PSB should be informed when you get back. Otherwise, see Senzhi's post above ;-)
liuzhou Posted November 3, 2009 at 12:53 PM Report Share Posted November 3, 2009 at 12:53 PM No problem. I do it all the time. (And I've never told the PSB anything about international travel, ever.)
