hi,

sorry if this is repeat post.

I'm looking render my name in the Li Shu or Clerical style calligraphy, preferably in electronic format. I've found one font book that's like USD500! I wonder if anyone knows of cheaper online resources or something?

Basically, I'd like to have name in Li Shut style, as a JPG or a scaleable font in Word or something.

Many thanks in advance-

Tse-Sung

I'm not a big fan of the clerical script but . . .

here's a free Windows clerical script font you can install, along with a whole bunch of others at chinesefonts.org:

I just installed it in Word. It works.

And here's another one:

Unfortunately, these two do not work with purely traditional characters.

Thanks! er... how do I download these (on a Mac)? It says I need to go to a network drive- what's it called?

So... this is meant to go with a name written in Tamil, a S. Indian language. I like the look of both the Li Su or the seal characters.

However, can you suggest something that would complement Tamil? Something a little like this:

I see the reference to "network drive" on the site. However, all I did was click on the red "Download fonts" line and then chose "Save File" in the window that popped up. After it downloaded, I decompressed the file using WinRAR.

According to this article, Windows TrueType fonts should work with the current Mac OS:

If this doesn't work for you, I can try Emailing you the 4.8 megabyte TrueType Li Shu font file as an Email attachment. (Send me a PM with your Email address.) Are there any Mac users out there who have any suggestions?
