alex Posted January 11, 2010 at 04:28 PM Report Share Posted January 11, 2010 at 04:28 PM Hello everybody I'm trying to advance my listening comprehension skills and am heeding Roddy's and others' recommendation for getting a hold of 汉语听力系列教材, and HSK听力关键词 and HSK听力惯用词. I've got everything coming except for the HSK听力关键词 and HSK听力惯用词 tapes. Ellen/Elina at http://studychineseculture.com/ said that not only were they out of stock but that the publisher themselves were sold out! The two books I was able to find from a distributor here in the US. I remember reading that these tapes aren't really that critical. Anyone have them? I'm interested in hearing a sample, maybe buying them? Thanks everyone!
Scoobyqueen Posted January 11, 2010 at 07:14 PM Report Share Posted January 11, 2010 at 07:14 PM Here are some audio samples from 听力关键词 by 王小宁。 I personally think this is the best book for ting li: 听力题型分析与训练 also by 王小宁 as it gives you the chance to study exam patterns as well as vocab. -129.mp3 -128.mp3

I just received the books today, I'll take a look tonight and see how they correspond with the audio.
vkim67 Posted January 31, 2011 at 03:46 PM Report Share Posted January 31, 2011 at 03:46 PM Hey do those books not normally come with tapes/CDs?? I am having trouble finding online listings that specifically say they include MP3's or cassettes! I'm looking on taobao now b/c amazon.cn doesn't have them. roddy Posted January 31, 2011 at 04:11 PM Report Share Posted January 31, 2011 at 04:11 PM There definitely are tapes - I think I bought them twice - but they were separate in their own box, not part of a 'book and tape' set. The tapes are definitely nice to have as you can listen to the examples, but they're not essential - there are some brief end of unit tests I think for which they might be useful, but if you've just got the books you're still going to get 95% of the value.
