(I really liked 娱乐江湖. The drumming is tight on that one. Does it make anyone else think of RHCP?) This seems to be a big loss to the Chinese music community. Confucius Said is a bit Old Beijing/Tianjin, while Second Hand Rose is more like Dongbei. Second Hand Rose always sounds a little “dirty” to me. There are some interesting bands in this category. I heard a guy called 南城二哥 is really good too, but I’ve never managed to find his music online, except a few poorly recorded live shows.
