Why do the Bosnians like Bruce Lee? Because Lee was the truly international hero in the minds of Croats, Serbs and Bosnian Muslims (probably Lee is the only thing that they can agree upon). Moreover, Lee stands for the virtue of loyalty, friendship, skill and justice. It's probably one of my favorite places in the area, a bit like a war-torn Lijiang. They re-opened the historic bridge as well. Interestingly enough, one night we ate burek and drank a ton of beer at a shop near the bridge. The Muslim owner of the shop had married a Croat, and had a 15 year-old son. Yet he fought the Croats for a year ('92 as I remember) and then the Serbs for a year ('93 I think). "Very, very stupid" is how he described that war.
