Meng Lelan Posted April 6, 2010 at 11:50 AM Report Share Posted April 6, 2010 at 11:50 AM Anyone seen this movie? It's the first movie I've seen featuring the Qiang minority group in it. I liked the middle school boy and his grandmother in the movie. A very brief review of Erma's Wedding is in my blog.
Questyn Posted April 17, 2010 at 04:25 AM Report Share Posted April 17, 2010 at 04:25 AM 你好, I saw a DVD copy of this movie at the Chinese Education Conference last weekend in San Francisco. I read the cover & wondered if it would be another Chinese film that would be okay to show to middle school kids (meaning US middle school, ages 12-14 or so, 7th/8th grade age). I'm not familiar with your blog, Meng Lelan, can you share a link?

If you can read Chinese, go to either of the following links to my blog and look under April 5th. You'll see a picture of Erma in that entry. You can view it at http://menglelan2010.blogspot.com/ or at http://menglelan2010.spaces.live.com/default.aspx
xiaotao Posted April 17, 2010 at 05:08 AM Report Share Posted April 17, 2010 at 05:08 AM I bought this movie to show my girls. I was expecting the movie to be all in Mandarin and to be a culturally educational. The story didn't capture me.
