skylee Posted September 5, 2004 at 12:36 AM Report Share Posted September 5, 2004 at 12:36 AM Perhaps you could try to search the terms on the internet using http://cn.yahoo.com or http://www.google.com.hk. If you search 来料加工词汇, the following websites would come up -> http://techcenter.packchina.net/zhishi%20center/neirong/chanyongcihui.htm http://www.fane.cn/forum_view.asp?forum_id=18&view_id=4363 http://www.china-linguist.com/englishcorner/chinadailycewords.htm

roddy Posted November 3, 2004 at 11:45 PM Report Share Posted November 3, 2004 at 11:45 PM Wow! Some of the useless terms I see at work are finally going to come in useful. 来样订货 - to order goods from a manufacturer on the basis of a sample. Ie, you take one pair of trainers to a shoe factory and ask them to make 1000 pairs of identical trainers. 来料加工 - when a manufacturer makes goods for a client, using materials supplied by the client. They're both business terms - they're things companies do, not people. Unfortunately, I've forgotten how to say this properly in English. And I got so excited I didn't notice Skylee's websites.
