Supposedly it will be the world's tallest building, but the latest news I heard is that the project is currently on hold. New York is revamping its skyline, with this residential building being one of the possible additions. A decision will be made this month. Check out the October 4, 2004 issue of Fortune Magazine, a special issue devoted entirely to China. I browsed through it and it goes into much more detail than those Time articles.
