No...I don't really think it's correct. I sort of had trouble understanding the Chinese until I read the English. I think you can re-word it like: 他不喜欢孤独,但他别无选择。(something like: He doesn't like to be alone/lonely, but he's got no other choice). :mrgreen:

独处 by definition is one being alone, so I don’t think there’s any point to include 一个人 in the first part of the sentence. 独处 would be apt in a written context, but note, it is not frequently used in spoken Chinese, if not rarely.
