Chinese dictionary lists / databases

I started a new thread instead of continuing on the wrong thread.

Now when i do have several word lists i am working on combining them and make them more usefil in one single database, with fields for origin. This databse today holds parts from Unihan, Cedict, Edict, Kanjilist, ADSO, our own stroke order database and some other minors. I am adding frequency, both on individual characters and on words.

Since i do have access to several mainframes, Unix, linux and windows servers i can do the text parsing. One of my earlier work when studying was parsing Chinese texts so i still have some code for this.

what is on my list now is:

- Normalise the database to the third form with all new files included.

- Add BLOB fields for the code needed for generating stroke order animations.

- Ad words usage examples.

- a public program for generating updates to the database from free sources.

I hope to have this up and runing soon. Now i have to be away from this forum for some days since my first child, a dougher ( 50% Chinese, 50% swedish), was born yesterday. Now i will teach her to say "database" as her first word
