myx Posted November 10, 2004 at 01:57 PM Report Share Posted November 10, 2004 at 01:57 PM ni hao! can anyone offer some help with my chinese name? i'm half chinese, and my grandfather gave me one when i was a baby. unfortunately, he died when i was 3 years old, and no one was able to get/remember my chinese name. can anyone give me tips? can i just choose any 2 words and use it? our last name is wang (my mom's last name, my aunties say it'd be better to use that to denote my bloodline). i was thinking something related to art, or astrology (stars, etc.) is Guang1 Xing1 okay? or Jiao2 Xing1? sorry if i'm flooding you all with questions heehee thanx guys, really appreciate it. Sorry I am not sure which Jiao2 means bright. If it is jiao3, then it is 皎星, which is more elegant than the above two and it also means bright (and clear) star.
