I heard that for long-term staying it's better to rent a flat in wudaokou area than staying in the BLCU residence. My questions are, is it possible to arrive beijing about 2 weeks before the semester starts, and find a good flat there? Where can i stay during that time? There are also a lot of real estate agents around BLCU; the new apartments of Geology University (in front of BLCU) are very very good.
