In Japanese they have the so called Furigana. On top of the Hanzi they write in Kana the pronounciation. Hen fangbian. I know Chinese has no Kana, but they have Zhuyin fuhao (bopomofo). On the mainland, there's Hanyu pinyin under the characters, on Taiwan, there are books with zhuyinfuhao (bopomofo) on the right side of the characters.
