I'm a bit of an active university student, so I was wondering what kind of societies or associations do they provide and are they worth joining? At the beginning of each semester they usually have rows of tables out by the canteens and other locations on campus doing recruiting. They are worth joining if for no other reason than making local Chinese friends who are more interested in that activity than they are in practicing English with you.
