What I suspect is all three words may have a common general usage, in addition to each item with some peculiar sense of its own. If I was in this situation, I'd collect a few samples where they are used and compare between them to see if any difference would emerge. Sorry I can't help at all, but have a Happy Christmas anyway! What I find difficult is sometimes the usage is not so clearcut and the words seem to be interchangeable.
