Probably me being stupid, so please go easy on me when telling me how. I checked http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?app=core&module=help&do=01&HID=8 there it says there should be some "choose file" button which just isnt there in most forum threads (it appears here, interestingly - so I guess that function has just been disabled for other parts of the forum for some reason). When posting in other sections of the site, in "my media" you can share any files that you uploaded previously - but I cant find a way to add new files to that.
