minismurf Posted January 23, 2005 at 04:11 PM Report Share Posted January 23, 2005 at 04:11 PM I am looking for good material that a beginner can use to learn Chinese. Personally, I found texts like Chengyu origins/stories and Chinese fables quite entertaining to read. Is there anywhere I can download archives with text files with this kind of materials? Are there any good web sites for it (if I drop the text file requirement)? In general, and I think this may have been answered elsewhere, is there any good Chinese sites with compilations of literature in electronic form, much like Project Gutenberg? Thanks too skylee, but the links you pointed too were not really what I was looking for.
