skylee Posted May 3, 2012 at 11:38 AM Report Share Posted May 3, 2012 at 11:38 AM I am using the free wifi in a Best Western hotel in Lyon, France. And I got this message when I tried to access the Chinese forums - "La politique de filtrage de votre firewall ne vous permet pas d'accéder à cette url." Not sure why it uses "your firewall". I have no firewalls and even if I did I can access the forums via my mobile's 3G connection. Any idea about what is wrong and how to fix it? roddy Posted May 3, 2012 at 11:46 AM Report Share Posted May 3, 2012 at 11:46 AM I'd guess some web-filtering service has over-zealously decided we are in some way adult, obscene or undesirable*. If there are any quick and easy 'report a problem' links I could take a look, but it's not something I could spend much time on. *Sounds daft, I know, but if they spot a page about Chinese swearwords or something they might end up banning the whole site. edelweis Posted May 3, 2012 at 07:02 PM Report Share Posted May 3, 2012 at 07:02 PM That's probably the hotel's firewall.
