I am looking for a more modern comedy that accurately reflects the humor of younger Chinese today. The best show I have seen so far for this has been 爱情公寓. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Maybe you are right and China does not have this type of Western humor, but I was hoping to find something similar or find something that better represents the language and humor of 18-25 year olds. I am from the US and one of my friends is French Canadian, but speaks perfect English. I once asked him how he speaks such good English when other people I meet from Quebec are nowhere near his level. He said he learned by watching "Family Guy" all of the time. Then it started to make sense to me that this is why he speaks so well and he uses/understands my type of humor and slang. I figured that since I am learning Chinese, if I talk more like a modern Chinese young adult, I can connect with them better and they will be more impressed as well.
