New Members analects Posted September 24, 2012 at 11:19 PM New Members Report Share Posted September 24, 2012 at 11:19 PM What is the best English -> Chinese dictionary for the Mac? I am currently using PowerWord, but find it unsatisfactory in a number of ways. The two features that I most crave are: Point-and-define: The PowerWord for Windows has this feature. So does the built-in Dictionary App for OS X. But the PowerWord for Mac doesn't have it. Pronunciation: The PowerWord is a horrible synthetic voice. Online English-English dictionaries (e.g. Merriam Webster) have much better pronunciation voices. Are there any Eng->Chi dictionaries with great voices? I'm willing to pay, so long as the seller is reputable.
yaokong Posted September 27, 2012 at 06:01 AM Report Share Posted September 27, 2012 at 06:01 AM The title of the thread says Chinese to English, yet you inquire about English to Chinese dictionaries. Which one is it now?

roddy Posted September 27, 2012 at 04:19 PM Report Share Posted September 27, 2012 at 04:19 PM That might have been my bad actually, I remember editing the title to make it more specific. I may also have accidentally made it... wrong.
