Simplifications that are acceptable in Traditional Text

Takeshi, I don't know what you mean. Hofmann's handwriting is not special or interesting. It does not look particularly good or bad or strange (One can't write quickly that way, though.) . Perhaps you should increase your exposure to Chinese handwriting.

And of course, a lot of the Japanese simplifications are from long-accepted Chinese simplifications, but can you tell which ones?

No I can't. That's what I want to figure out. (And figure out if they are still acceptable today.)

Yes, my goal is to write faster. (Right now I'm in the strange position where I prefer handwriting in Simplified because it just... hurts my hand less, but reading or typing printed text in Traditional.)

Though I suppose you are right, I should learn 行書. How though, that is another question.

Wow really!? I suppose then it is true that I don't have much exposure to Chinese handwriting, but do you not think the shapes of half the characters are strange? I'm not saying they're wrong, but they look... different. I definitely have never been taught to write this way, that's for sure.
