However, in my dictionary, that is defined as "soon". The dictionary provides one definition of "later" as yìhuǐr jiàn (yi4huir3 jian4). I always get disturbed when a friend says he'll come over 一会儿, because I have no idea whether it will be 5 minutes later or 2 hours later. 一会儿 has wrecked many plans of mine because of its elasticity.
