python module for working with Chinese

wibr

Recommended Posts

Hello,

for anyone who knows python and writes scripts related to learning Chinese this might save some time: https://github.com/jiong3/pyjiong

It's a collection of scripts which I wrote over the time, nothing fancy but still useful, grouped in one module...

You can use it to

- convert nì <> ni4 and split pinyin into initial and final sound

- read cedict/unihan/tatoeba files

- create character frequency list for a text

- work with skritter/pleco lists, e.g. combine a word list with a frequency list

Comments are welcome :-)
