MaraKoma Posted February 27, 2014 at 07:47 AM Report Share Posted February 27, 2014 at 07:47 AM Hello All, I just entered China on 180 days single entry family visit type. While at the airport the immigration officer put a big slash mark with pen on the place where its written 180 days.I didn't knew it that time. When I left Shanghai for another city and was going through my passport I noticed the pen slash mark.In my previous visit here on a different visa nothing of that sort was done. Can anyone point me on what exactly would that mean ? Would I have any problems in case of extension of the same visa or while exiting China ?
anonymoose Posted February 27, 2014 at 08:37 AM Report Share Posted February 27, 2014 at 08:37 AM I don't think it means anything. I have pen slashes on most, but not all, of mine. I think it is probably just to show that the visa has been used.
Yorin Posted February 27, 2014 at 08:54 AM Report Share Posted February 27, 2014 at 08:54 AM I've pen slashes of different shape and size on all of mine. I'm pretty sure it just means that you've used up all of your entries.
fanglu Posted February 27, 2014 at 09:10 AM Report Share Posted February 27, 2014 at 09:10 AM It means no more entries.

MaraKoma Posted February 28, 2014 at 04:55 AM Author Report Share Posted February 28, 2014 at 04:55 AM Thank you very much for the replies. You guys saved me from the pain of visiting the PSB as the PSB here(Harbin) is quite far from where I stay and its damn cold outside. Its quite strange that China immigration uses pen to mark entries on the visas. For all the 14 countries I have visited till date of which 3 of them have been third world countries none of them used pen markings for entries. Thank you very much once again for the replies.
TomThomas Posted May 12, 2014 at 05:13 PM Report Share Posted May 12, 2014 at 05:13 PM Nah it's common. Thailand, Cambodia etc. all mark visas in some way.
