Although Cantonese might be tougher than Mandarin, I'm much better at it because the materials I've found are more stimulating and keep me interested, whereas Mandarin feels like a chore to the point that I want nothing to do with it in my free time. I'm hoping to find something to change that. Just to give you an idea of what I like in Cantonese- for current affairs type discussion I like to listen to 陶傑's 光明頂 (though I guess you couldn't find anything like that in the mainland, heh) and for inane chatter and laughing at other people's silly problems I like 絕情谷. Anyone have any suggestions? I have seen radio stations out there, but I would like more concrete suggestions about specific programs that won't put me to sleep. I'm also interested in any active and not-too-heavy discussion boards out there as they help in learning 口語. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
