My Chinese progress log (Videos)

I'll take back my comment about "if I could stay in China/Taiwan, I'll sound like one of them."

Mainly because I've met many professors whose accent never changed (English) while having living in the U.S. for so many years

plus my Chinese friends/coworkers accent hasn't changed as well.

It seems that after teenage years, a strict focus on language learning has to be conscious in order to get a better pronunciation and reduce accent.

My friend married a Chinese girl from Suzhou with impeccable English, but she studied English at University (in China).

I have a feeling that had she studied engineering or business like my friends from Mainland China did, her English wouldn't be as good, but that's just a theory.

I started thinking of another project.

I was thinking if teaching English on Twitch.tv would be possible

I could do a couple of sessions for FREE with the only condition that my students must speak a language that I've learned: English, Spanish, 中文, Portuguese, or Esperanto.

and they must be OK with me streaming our lesson to whoever shows up on Twitch.

Sounds like a novelty. I'll see if I have time to do a session soon.
