kooltop Posted December 7, 2003 at 08:23 PM Report Share Posted December 7, 2003 at 08:23 PM Help! I got a few chinese VCDs sent to me from China and I'm not able to watch them on my PC... When I insert the disk in the DVD drive, a folder pops up containing the following additional folders CDI, VCD, MPEGAV (and sometimes an EXT folder but not always)... and at that point I don't know what to do.. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong, or do I need a special VCD-viewing program ? I have Windows Media Player and Sony Media Bar DVD player already installed on my PC. Thanks ! roddy Posted December 7, 2003 at 11:53 PM Report Share Posted December 7, 2003 at 11:53 PM I've had that. If you use Windows Media (or any similar program) and try opening various files, you should find one that starts it playing. Roddy
PollyWaffle Posted December 8, 2003 at 11:27 AM Report Share Posted December 8, 2003 at 11:27 AM just double click on the "*.dat" file inside the MPEGAV folder, it is the mpeg & is considerably larger than the other files on the vcd
